Mumma Connections ("we", "us", "our") is run by Martina Darling trading as Mumma Connections. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you book onto an event, join our community, listen to our podcast, or use this website, and how we look after it.

2. What we collect
Name, email address and phone number when you book an event or a Business Showcase spot
Payment confirmation details processed via Stripe through our booking platform, Squarespace — we do not store your card details ourselves
Any information you give us when you contact us, sign up to our newsletter, or apply to be a Business Showcase spot or podcast guest
Photos and video taken at events, where you have not opted out (see "Photography and Filming" below)
Basic website usage data via cookies/analytics (see Cookie Policy)
3. How we use your data
To process your event or Business Showcase booking and application and send confirmations/reminders
To run our mailing list, if you've opted in (e.g Squarespace).
To share event photos on our website, social media or the Meet Suffolk Mums Facebook group, where you haven't opted out
To respond to enquiries
We do not sell your data. We only share it with the third parties needed to run bookings and payments (e.g. our booking/payment platform) and, where relevant, the venue for the event you're attending.
4. Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of: performance of a contract (processing your booking), consent (marketing emails, photo use), and legitimate interest (running our community and improving our events).
5. Photography and filming
We regularly take photos and short videos at our events for use on our website and social media. By attending, you consent to this unless you tell the event leader on the day, or email us in advance, that you'd prefer not to be photographed. If your child appears in any photo or video, we treat this the same way and welcome you flagging it to us at any time.
6. How long we keep it
We keep booking and contact information for as long as reasonably needed to run our events and community, and no longer than 5 years unless we're required to keep it for tax/accounting purposes.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Contact us at email hello@mummaconnections.com to exercise any of these rights.
8. Cookies
Our website uses cookies for basic functionality and analytics (e.g. Google Analytics). You can manage cookie preferences via the banner on our site or your browser settings.
9. Children
Our events are family/mum-focused and children may attend with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children; any data relating to a child (e.g. in a photo) is provided and controlled by the attending parent/guardian.
